Gotta agree with the others. Aruba has incredible restaurants. It is very safe and easy to get around. Taxis are readily available and the bus runs from the beaches to downtown. If Bucuti is booked, you could also take a look at Manchebo. It is not fancy, but they just finished renovating all of the rooms. The beach there is incredible and quiet. The staff and service are excellent. Be sure and read reviews on tripadvisor. This hotel is located right next door to Bucuti. There are several restaurants on sight and also within walking distance.

Also, Manchebo has an all inclusive plan, if that's the way you decide to go. One more thing to consider, they have plenty of palapas so you never have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve one, like you do some of the other places. I've never been that time of year. Maybe Aruba is not that crowded then, so I don't know if this is as much of an issue as it is during high season.
