I need renewal of vows ideas ...HELP

Hi everyone, This april is our 11th visit to aruba, and our 20th anniversary. My husband wants to renew our vows...I am not sure of how this all will play out...no, not my marriage, the renewal event. Anyway, we're staying at Renaissance with 27 other family members so the group is perfect.

My questions are:
1. Whom do we use to the vows? Lisa suggested Rev Gibson..he hasn't returned emails....
2. What do we do after the vows thing...suggestions???

We don't feel lke spending a ton of $$$ on this little thing.

I need some suggestions from anyone that might have done this already.
We're going in 58 days so I have to get moving on this thing.

Thanks to all in advance....cindy o

i would give rev. gibson another email and see if he replies.
if no reply
i would contact the conscierge at the renaissance suites and ask what they suggest and also PM karen lutzker here on this forum to see if she has suggestions.
or
google "do it yourself wedding renewal vows"

after the vows...........have a huge picnic no that small manmade beach right there at the suites. are there bbq gas grills there?

Ny husband's idea is on again, off again, on again...go figure. I think he thinks someone from the front desk is jsut going to stroll down to the beach area, say a few words, and we're done. NO....I don't think so. The location at the lagoon is perfect, all of our relatives are there, so who knows whats up. No. unfortunately there are no pits or grills there. Can't have open fire. At the rate we're going it'll be during the bingo games...
Haha!!

a few years ago at easter vigil mass in Florida, i had just finished a huge fight/argument with paul. i was BULL and should not have even been in church with the attitude that i had. anyway, the priest asked all married couples to come up and renew their vows. i chose not to. paul and i skulked outta the church feeling pretty crappy. another reason added to the list of why i am going to hell.

the bingo game renewal sounds like it could be a "go"

Renewing Wedding Vows

Hello:

My wife and I have been coming to Aruba 12 years now and have a timeshare at the Renaissance Ocean Suites. We renewed our vows about 6 years ago. We are Episcapalions. We renewed them in San Nicholas at the Episcapol church. The priest was very nice. We then ate out at a nice resturant. Good Luck

Smile Vow renewal

Try contacting Indira at Aruba Fairy Tales
She did my wedding and does vow renewals as well. She can keep the price down to what you want - just tell her what you want to spend - and do something simple beach side. Maybe renew vows on the water and then a champagne toast then some appetizers on the beach at the Divi Phoenix- its fairly private. Reverand Gibson did our wedding and works with her so she will have no problem getting in touch with him.
I did everything over email and it worked out perfectly - 52 people - we had the vacation of a lifetime!

Renewing Wedding Vows

My husband and I renrewed our wedding vows on the beach at sunset for our 40th and 45th wedding anniversary. We just celebrated 48 years and are planning our 50th wedding vow renewal again, on the beach at sunset with our children and grandchildren. We met at 16 and got married at 18. Whatever you decide, I am sure it will be extra special. You love Aruba and so do we Anything you plan will be lovely! How many years??

Twenty years for us.....we might not make it past that with this renewal of vows...on again, off again, on again...the big question hubby has is, "how much is this costing me"? Well, I said, it couldn't be to important to you if you have to ask that question. So as it stands now, he will be renewing his vows at Dunkin Donuts to his coffee.
