Ideas for places to meet our guests before wedding day?

hi! i am hoping someone has some ideas! we are getting married in May and have about 60 people coming down, all staying at different hotels...my fiance and i are staying at the marriott stellaris casino and want a meeting place the Wednesday we get in...any suggestions of fun bars in the marriott area so we can tell everyone to meet up?

any suggestions for during the day? can they come to our hotel pool? or would we have to meet at the beach?

Thanks so much for any information!

I would suggest MoomBa which is a few doors down between the Marriott Surf Club and Holiday Inn.

Unfortunately I highly doubt the Marriott will permit you to have 60 guests for the day at the resort's swimming pool.

MoomBa is great because they have complimentary chaises on the beach and the bar is right there. Your guests can relax or mix and mingle.

This map is centered on MoomBa and the Marriott Stellaris is the last resort in the top of the frame

I agree with Arubalisa about Moomba. We stay at the Marriott Stellaris every year and there isn't really a big bar there. They have one in the lobby, but in my opinion, it's kind of boring. And the pool bar is small as well, and I'm not sure they will allow it all those people. The hotel is great though, we love it. Good luck!

MoomBa would be excellent for after the reception as well. If you go to their website, the calendar lists the bands and entertainment for specific evenings.

wonder how much moomba would charge for 60 lounges ?
is there shade there?

i am wondering if a place like the TROPICANA, a place that is looking for business and looking for some great public relations would allow one of their pools and deck space to be "rented" for a few hours for your get together?

The last I heard, chaises are complimentary at MoomBa and there is a bit of shade from the trees

Great info! How is beach in front of Marriott stellaris? Would there be room if some of our friends came from other hotels or is it typically jam packed?

that beach is always pretty jam packed.
that being said, that beach is PUBLIC so as many folks can be on that beach and in the water as space will allow.

what is NOT public are the chairs, lounges and shade huts (palapas/chickees).
the equipment all belongs to the marriott.
