Hello everyone.

Got back from Aruba last night. Thank you so much for your good wishes. As the song goes, "I had the time of my life" holds so true for my husband Aaron and I. We had the most wonderful honeymoon and much better then the first wedding 50 years ago, January 16, 1960. Now let me tell you about Saturday, January 16, 2010 on Eagle Beach. It was the exact date and day when we were married. Our ceremony was scheduled for 6:15 p.m. shortly before sunset. The most meaningful and special ceremony for us was performed by Rev. Robert Gibson as his gift to us as we have known him for so many years. His words were very meaningful and very, very special to our hearts. Our beautiful wedding arch setup, flowers, wedding cake and champagne was set up by our dear friend, colleague and Aruba representative, Edwina Werleman as her gift to us and our good friend Robert Arenz took the most georgeous photos as his gift to us. I hope to post some of the photos later on today. Some of our dear friends that attended our 50th vow renewal was Diane Keijzer and her husband Kees and Pat Donovan, Director of Sales and Marketing from the Westin. Pat and Diane were our witnesses. After coming to Aruba for 33 years, we can surely say how blessed we are to have made so many good friends in Aruba through the years. As far as the recipe for being married for 50 years, it is a love and mutual respect that has grown stronger with each passing year. As my husband Aaron would say, it is large doses of patience on both of our parts LOL and being each others best friend helps as well.
