    Cool Latin music

Hi, I'm new to the forum but have spent several hours searching for recommendations on Latin bands or DJs that incorporate latin music. Seems like the options are limited. My fiance has been in communication with Sunny Ray. Does anybody know of any others?

Also, for brides that have a sunset wedding, are you having an outdoor reception? Since everything shuts down by 10 or 11, I'm afraid we'll only get about an hour of music after the ceremony, pictures/cocktail hour, and dinner is finally done. It seems rushed. Am I wrong?

Any feedback on your experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

who has your wedding planner recommended?
Thanks Andrea. I will send a separate message to Tino/Cyclone Promo.
We are using the wedding planners at the Divi. When I asked about hiring an outside band, they told me they don't know of any that play latin music. I did not ask specifically about DJs because I was hoping for live music. It seems to me that they generally try to push for the steel pan band, which we are okay with for the ceremony and picture/cocktail hour but want something more lively for the party.

I attempted to contact Cyclone Promotions through the PM function on this forum and received a message that I do not have that option because I am new to the forum and need to send 3 PMs to moderators first. So then I sent a message to the email address on his website and received a bounce-back. Can I get a third option please?

I am working with Inge van Roon with AWFU. Unfortunately, we have not gotten very far in the process because when I try to ask if we can secure certain options, I'm told not to worry, we have plenty of time, we really don't need to have anything set before March. So that is why I'm trying to do the legwork on my own.

to answer about sunset. my stepdaughter is getting married about 5:30, sunset is 6:15 when she gets married. she wants photos of the sunset, too. the cocktail hour starts from 6-7 with a steel drummer, though the bride will be taking photos through most of that. the buffet reception starts at 7 until 11. the music will be inbetween just like a regular wedding in the states, if that's where you're from. we are having a buffet style so the music will be going right through until the end. but even with sit down dinner, you still have music throughout. we are using Tino from Cyclone Promotions. he'll play anything you want.

    Latin Music

I have known Inge Van Roon for years. Believe me, she is a professional in every way, shape or form and knows her business. She is also very understanding and if you explain that you need to have your plans in order by March, I am sure she will work with you. My advice is if you have her personal email address, email Inge, tell her your concerns and she will work with you. I know the Divi organization property very well and depending where you are having your reception, will depend upon how late you can have your Latin Music/DJ. Also, reasoning for ending an outdoor reception located on hotel property is because they do not want to disturb the guests whose rooms face the beach. If Inge will allow, might I suggest having your reception at Divi Links outside gardens of their beautiful Windows Restaurant. This is a beautiful lighted spot and would seem to me that a reception could end later then 11:00 p.m. because there are not any near by rooms. Lastly, while having dinner at Windows seated facing the outside gardens and golf course, I have seen several receptions there.

Hi Salvarado, welcome! we are getting married in May this year and have done most of the leg work from the UK so if you like I can recommend a few vendors and put you in touch with them. I am latin so salsa is also very important to us, we are not having a live band, only a DJ, but can put you in the right direction, just send me a private message here, not sure if I am allowed to display my personal email here??. Am I Andrea?
    Angie.
