    Locations for an engagement shoot

    Good Morning

I am Neikeitha Nelson from Trinidad and Tobago

I will be visiting Aruba is September of this year for vacation with some friends, I am also planning my engagement party to be held on the beautiful island.

I am considering doing my engagement shoot as well.

Can anyone recommend a few locations for the shoot, I am looking at a vintage themed shoot and may rent a vintage car for the said shoot.

any suggestions will be gladly appreciated

    Regards

    Neikeitha

welcome to the aruba.com commuity forum

my suggestions would be: alto vista chapel , arikok national park. california lighthouse. i would also have suggested anyplace over on the east side where the waves are rough, but not sure how the car would work out there. i look forward to seeing what others suggest.

Hi! Welcome to the Aruba.com Community Forum!

I suggest talking to the photographer about a vintage shoot. Maybe an old Cunucu house? But the photographer would probably know best and be able to suggest what their creative eye may see that mine just doesn't notice!

Congrats on the engagement! I hope we get to see the pictures

I would scout out some of the older buildings downtown (particularly around Que Pasa, Yemanja area) - some really beautiful architecture there and would look great as a back drop in black and white or sepia-filtered shots.

Bushiribana Ruins always look breathtaking for wedding photos, IMO. Here is an example:

Thanks much! will consider...I am linking with Aruba Vintage Cars to have an antique vehicle as a prop for the shoot, will definately have to find out from the owner if he will allow it based on the location selected.

    Thank again

Hi Jackie, Thanks for the recommendation, actually I bringing my photographer with me and he may not know. The places, however we are working together and scouting places online to decide. Can u explain to me what is a cunucu house and where are they located.

It's just the typical Aruban style home. Google some images and you will get a feel for different types of shoots. Really hard to suggest an area without knowing you well enough
