Manchebo wedding info?

Hi! I am in the process of planning our 2011 wedding. Anyone have information / thoughts on wedding ceremony and reception at the Manchebo (ceremony on beach, reception in Pavillion). Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Katym,

We went to Aruba for a site in May 2009 and the Manchebo Pavillion was one of the venues we were considering. We were pleasantly surprised. We thought it was much nicer than we had seen in the photos. We loved that it was open air but covered. The beach will be much less crowded than Palm Beach and gorgeous.

Our biggest concerns were that we were going to be staying in Palm Beach and didn't want to worry about transportation. We also wanted to be on the same property if parents wanted to send their kids up to bed, but still be close by. And last, we didn't get a huge vote of confidence on the food. We didn't hear anything bad, but that the wedding planner was going to 'look into it'. The food might be great but at that point we were looking to hear "awesome" without hesitation. Had we not liked the other locations as much as we did though, we probably would have gone back and tried the food. =)

If I remember right, Manchebo was our 'first stop' on our 'site visit tour'. After seeing it we knew we were going to be happy in Aruba!

Manchebo Beach Resort and spa is located on the beautiful large white sands of Eagle beach and very private to have a wedding or special event. Their covered open air pavilion is located directly on the beach. I have known the staff for years and they do a fantastic job. For those that want a beautiful private location for their beach ceremony, with reasonably priced reception, then Manchebo would be a great choice. There are resorts located very close by that are reasonbly priced too or Manchebo for that matter for your hotel accomodations.
