Marriott/Hyatt

Does anyone know if the Marriott and Hyatt properties mandate a 10 room minimum just to have the wedding at their properties?

Thanks

I know the Hyatt did have a minumum amount of rooms you had to book in order to have a wedding there but I don't remember the exact number. I'm not sure about the Marriott.

This is what I received from the Hyatt:

If your wedding event will have less than 20 persons, then we require that all guests invited for your event stay with us.
For more than 20 guests at the wedding event then you must have 10 rooms for 3 nights.

We are having our Wedding at the Hyatt in August and we had to have a 10-room block. I'm not sure about the Marriott. Good Luck!

I actually just met with Chela at the Marriott - to our happy surprise, she said that none of the guests had to stay at the Marriott to have your wedding there. However, I believe if you want to stay there and have the group rate, it's a 10 room minimum.

Hope this helps!

Hyatt 10 Room Minimum

Chela at Marriott is correct. Although Marriott would like your guests to stay there, they do not push you to do so. I have worked with Chela and the Marriott many times and never had a problem with requirements of guests staying there or not. We are presently on the island and visited Marriott. Yes, they are undergoing a tremendous renovation, but can tell you that when completed Marriott Aruba will be even better then before.
