I had my wedding at the Marriott on July 15th. Everything was beautiful. Verna was a great help. If anyone is considering the Marriott and has any questions, please contact me.

Hi! I am getting married at the Marriott on September 25 and am also working with Verna. I would love to hear your wedding stories - the good, the bad, the ugly - if you are willing to share? Including any dos or don't. Also, I am interested in details like which officiant, DJ, photog, etc you used and how they worked out. And finally, did you get your hair/makeup professionally done, if so by who, and did you like it? Sorry, these are alot of questions, but I am really interested in any details/advice you are willing to provide! Thanks!!

I second the request for any overall reviews/dos/don'ts you could provide. I am getting married there in November and I am just about at the point where I will get back in touch with Verna and the vendors and start nailing down details.

Everything really was just what I expected. I chose the Ginger Lily package from the Marriott. I added, the shell arch, which before the wedding I changed b/c it didnt look very nice, and I added the steel pan drummer for 2 hours. We were a very small group (12) people, so it was one table, nicely decorated. The food was delicous, everyone loved it. I had my hair done by Jennive. I found her online. Funny thing is she didn't give me what I asked for, but my hair came out good. and she was 1/2 hour late to my appoitment which had me frazzled and left me very little time to get dressed. My photographer was Elathan. I haven't received my pictures yet, so I can't comment on that, but he was only with us for one hour (as that was what was part of the package). I can not remember the wedding officiants name off hand... he did a lovely job too (I was nervous so I dont even know if I remember alot of what he said).
Anyone, please ask me as much questions as you like, I will be more than happy to answer questions!

Yes, pictures would be great if you don't mind sharing! Did you pick a different arch or did you go without one? I originally picked the square arch with the fabric and flowers but recently decided that I don't think I want an arch at all. I keep going back and forth but I think I really just want the beautiful ocean in the background of my pictures, not an arch. With 2 months to go, I am becoming obsessed with every detail and unfortunately keep second guessing myself!

I originally picked the shell arch. I changed it. I saw it and I thought it looked terrible. I will post pics of the arch I choose as well as the set up..
