Question Need a restaurant walking distance from RIU

Hello everyone..I need to host a rehearsal dinner for about 30-40 ppl. Most of us are staying at the RIU, however others are staying at the Westin and Radisson. Can someone offer some places to dine at for dinner that is walking distance for a group of ppl from the hotel? I think that a cab might be too much to haul everyone and I don't think my guests will want to walk more than 1/2 a mile away!

Also, there's a strip mall area and like a dunkin donuts on that street somewhere...where Texas de Brazil is also..is that really close to RIU or a ways down? PLEASE HELP!

Thanks everyone!

We had our reception at Azzuro's behind the Playa Linda...pleased everyone!
It was very reasonable in price and it can be informal or formal.

There is a concrete walkway connecting the resorts on the oceanside of the buildings. The Riu is 1/3 of a mile from Azzurro. The Westin is just on the opposite side of the Riu so not that much further of a walk. If need be the guests who feel they could not walk it could all share taxis. Taxis will take up to 5 persons. Fare from high rise hotel to high rise hotel, where you will be staying is $6 each way. That is per fare, NOT per person. Add an additional $3 on holidays or Sundays.

Hi JT20 -- For us the walks before and after dinner were one of our favorite parts of our time there! It's weird - you're so caught up in how beautiful it is that you don't notice the distance. And it sounds like the distance you're talking about here is really just a few blocks anyway. I seem to remember those resorts being kind of close together anyway.

HI TJ20 I would defnitely email and make reservations which for that large of people will request a credit card. Just be on notice that about 1-2 months after you use a credit card out of USA ther will be an international fee for use. From where you are staying there are many many places to eat. Remember they are not in a rush so 30-40 people will take a while. Another place not too far 1/3 mile mabey 1/2 mile easy walking is the buffet at the Radison. Very good and very reasonable.Been there many times. Italian is my favorite and if anyone has kids under 12 most times they are free. Laguana. Check it out. Happy Aruba trip. Judy
