    Hi
We are in the middle of planning our wedding on Aruba, we think we have found the right venue and will certainly keep an eye on this forum more now. I just came across this useful guide that you might find useful too http://rightwedding.com/resources/bl...nues-in-aruba/

Thanks, we are hoping to get married late 2017 and our plan at the moment is to actually visit the island this year and do a proper research/booking visit, we are keen in the Occidental, but hoping if we get things organised to actually perhaps visit a couple of others before take the plunge!

Looking forward to learning more here :-)

    Hello,
I'm just wondering if there are any brides out there that are planning their wedding at the DIVI, and are working out some deal with the resort to get the free honeymoon package?

It seems so simple on the following website:http://www.diviaruba.com/aruba-weddings.htm in which it states that the Tier 1 or Tier 2 wedding package makes you eligible for free honeymoon accommodations, but yet after back and forth correspondence I get no definite answer, giving me this feeling they just don't want to do it at all. I am beyond frustrated, because it's not that I want to milk out free stuff. It's the principle behind this resort saying they're offering these free things on the website, but then go back on their word. Also, if I am eligible and I do get free honeymoon accommodations, it would help me greatly increase my wedding budget. I'm not trying to be cheap. I want a simple yes or no and an explanation, and yet it has been a couple months and tons of emails and I still can't get an answer!!!!

    End vent.

A phone call may be necessary! Although I like the idea of having it in writing (email).

I like Jacki's idea of a phone call, followed by an email requesting confirmation in writing of whatever they promise on the phone. Maybe they could type the email response back to you while you talk on the phone? Good luck.

I know the Radisson gave honeymoon deals and a gorgeous suite to stay in if you got married there. But now that its the Hilton, I can't answer what the policy is.

It is my understanding that it is the rules of any of the larger resorts that it is required that the bride and groom and guests stay at that particular resort if the wedding is being held on their property. As for the Divi, if you have your wedding there and the bride and groom and guests stay there, the bride and groom get a complimentary stay the following year for their one year anniversary. The policy could have possibly changed so verify with the planners at the resort.

Thanks everyone! Things have sorted out so I'm very happy. Another question if any brides can private message me: How much does DJ Tino charge? I'm trying to budget things and it would be very helpful to know. I did email him but I'm assuming he's too busy. Thanks!
