    question on wedding planners

If you decide on going with a separate wedding planner, where would your wedding be?
If i book at a hotel, obviously i know the wedding will be on the beach at the hotel, but what about a planner that isn't a part of those hotels?
    Sorry for the dumb question.
    Thanks
    Jenn

    welcome to the forum!

    never dumb questions.........!!!!
    feel free to ask anything!!

some of our members, lissy lampe and karen lukzer are independent wedding planners and sometimes offer their opinions on this site. maybe they will reply and give information that you need.

i will message them and direct them to this question and hopefully they will post an answer.

there are a good amount of independent wedding planners ...and i am sure if they did not have access to great wedding venues they would not be in business.

    Wedding Planners, Hotels

Good Morning. Please be advised that there are no dumb questions on this forum. All of us are here to help in any way possible. As to having your wedding at a hotel, most of the larger hotels have their own wedding planners that are very knowledgeable and will provide the best possible service. As well, some of the wedding planners at the larger hotels work with independent wedding planners on behalf of the wedding couple. Each hotel has their own policy of what they will allow and not allow a independent wedding planner to do. If you decide to opt not to have your wedding ceremony on the beach at a larger hotel qnd decide to hire an independent wedding planner, there are beautiful less crowded beaches that are not on hotel properties that the independent wedding planners use. Most importantly, a couples budget is key to where they will have their wedding. Hotels are much more expensive to have a wedding plus their beaches are more crowded then a private beach. My advice to you is to do some research with your fiance about the hotels that you are interested in and request information on packages etc. In turn, do some research on some of the independent wedding planners and request information on packages as well. Some of the independent wedding planners will allow their clients to pick and chose some of the services according to their budget and customize their wedding according to their wishes. You have a lot on your plate, so take a deep breath and relax and I am sure all will work out in the end and you will have the most beautiful Aruba wedding, no matter what you and your fiance decide

    Hello Jenn,

As independent wedding planners we prefer to plan our ceremonies on Eagle Beach, a beautiful and quiet public beach just a few minutes away from the resorts.

There are some resorts though who will allow us to plan your ceremony on "their" beach although all the beaches are public.

    Regards,

are you speaking for your company, Dream Weddings or on behalf of all or most independent wedding planners?

All the (independent) wedding planners on Aruba are able to perform a ceremony on Eagle Beach (as long as they have a permission from the Beach Police)

It's our favorite location by far, and not a single bride left there dissapointed.

thanks to everyone for their replies, i actually think i would like a more private type setting, i've only been to aruba once and our hotel was on Palm beach i believe, which is pretty populated most of the time.
It is a little overwhelming, i hope i can get all of this done by October
    Thanks again!
