Smile Radisson wedding

Hi all! I've visited Aruba twice in the past and stayed at the Radisson both times. My fiance and I are thinking about having our summer 2011 wedding in Aruba, so of course, I'm strongly considering choosing the Radisson. Does anyone know what their policy is about guests staying at the hotel vs. staying off-site? Is there a minimum number of rooms that need to be booked in order to have the ceremony, is there a fee for non-hotel guests to attend the ceremony, etc.?

Excited to join in the fun in this forum!

Hi! We're getting married at the Radisson in July. I believe you need to have a block of 10 rooms reserved for your guests in order to get married there. Contact Lisa Dammerman, she's wonderful! Good luck!

we just got married at the radisson a couple of weeks ago.

if you want to reserve something this far in advance, you'll have to put a deposit down. we did that to ensure the date that we wanted.

like curious112 said, contact the radisson and they'll put you in contact with the wedding planner over there, lisa dammerman.

Also, curious112, where are you having your rehearsal dinner and/or reception?

hey!
we're having our rehersal dinner at moomba beach, which is between the holiday inn and the mariott. it's more of a beach BBQ welcome dinner actually... something very low key for our guests. we always make it a point to go there when we're in aruba. they have live music or a DJ and a large bar under a lit palapa. if you're looking for something close by & casual so people can mingle, i recommend it! it's one of our favorite places on the island to hang...
best of luck!
dee

Radisson

You have made a good choice with Radisson. Their grounds are lovely for photos too. For your welcome dinner you might want to try Westin in their Sirioco open air room facing pool,Mathews Beachside located on eagle beach, Manchebo Beach Resort or Phoenix Beach Resort is great for a low keyed welcome infomal bbq. If you want an upscale outdoor restaurant you might want to try Madame Jeanettes which is outstanding
