Because Aruba is a European colony you have to have a civil ceremony at the town hall prior to your "religious blessing". So, after a twenty minute ceremony at the town hall (which is a beautiful building with Dutch colonial style architecture, great to have photos taken in front of this) you are free to have your ceremony wherever you like on island.
Here you will receive your wedding certificate, etc. Usually the next day people have their "religious blessing". Any questions call 1-800-TO-ARUBA.
