Ready for Sept 18 Wedding in Aruba
Just a quick note to update everyone. We have read over these boards and found quite a bit of useful information!
First of all, we started out by going around and accumulating all the required information ourselfs ie. Apostile seals on birth certs, divorce certs, , and proof on non marriage at the NH state house, as well as our own "intent to wed"- which did not need the apostile seal. I then faxed everything down to the town hall in Aruba- and called every day- never heard anything and that is when we contacted the wedding planners at Divi Divi (Lorraine) .
I faxed her all the copies, agreeded to use them for our wedding and heard back in three days with the confirmation our paperwork was in order and an ok on our wedding date.
We will be getting married at the town hall at 3pm, then a sunset ceremony on the beach at the Divi Divi. We are taking our guests to the Red Parrot for dinner.
We have Reverend Gibson for our beach ceremony, ( I have read great things about him)
We chose the package that has a photographer, cake and flowers. It was all very easy, pictures are on the web site, and Lorraine called last week and we finalized everything!
We arrive in Aruba on the 14th, we meet with Lorraine at 2pm on the 15th, then sit back and relax until the 18th.
This was stress free (except for hunting down the paperwork)
Oh, I had to send all the original documents down about three weeks ago via Federal Express.
The cost for all the seals, faxing and sending fedex was about $300 total.
Now the packing begins- talk about stress!
I will update the board on the wedding soon.
