    the restaurant is PAM PAM
    I highly recommend it!!

Fish, steak, nice salads, some pasta dishes, skewer specials
    are all on the menu.
No dinners are priced higher than $20.

Mixed drinks, beer and wine are very inexpensive.

Here is my review from my May vacation.

PamPam, had dinner with friends. Service could have been better. Food delicious, 3 lasagnasa and joanne had a beef dish. Price was excellent including tip was $35 per couple we all drank diet sodas.

    Rehearsal Dinner

Andrea, we never got to eat at Pam Pam when we were recently in Aruba. However, at your suggestion we will certainly try Pam Pam when we return to Aruba this coming November. We like Mathews who will arrange a special dinner menu for a rehearsal dinner or special occasion. They will even set up a special section for the group. Very lovely and right on the beach at Casa del Mar Beach resort timeshare. Chalet Suisse has a special air conditioned party room that can seat up to 27 persons that faces sunset. During off season, Chalet Suisse has an early bird special with a 3 course dinner that is reasonably priced. You have to call a head to reserve a larger group.

I would suggest Matthews at Casa Del Mar. We just got back Saturday and they held several rehersal dinners there and its a beautiful setting. Call Riccardo the GM at 297-588-7300 or info@matthews-aruba.com

You may also be interested in this info that I just posted on culinary thread:

Just got back from two weeks in paradise.

Little known secret, Matthews at Casa Del Mar, offers a "Romantic Dinner" package every night with private table for two on the beach, the ocean only a few feet away. $150 for 2, includes a bottle of champagne, choice of soup (clam chowder to die for), salad, surf and turf (Lobster and Filet Mignon), AND dessert. It was AMAZING. Best deal on the island. They set up these new rattan wing chairs on the beach and you're surrounded by torches and lanterns and you have your own personal server (ask for Kelly). The food, atmosphere and service were fantastic. Basically you have your own private stretch of beach to dine on. They'll do it for sunset too. I highly recommend it. You basically have Flying Fishbone and Old Man and Sea, but without the hassle of having to drive to Savaneta and without the other diners. Our reservations were at 9pm but they set up our slice of heaven at sunset and people on the beach were coming up and taking photos of it. Ask Riccardo, the GM at Matthews, about it. It has not been promoted much yet.

Second story beach bar at Tamarinj is still a great place to watch sunset from and wasn't busy while we were there. Jimmy the singing bartender is still a hoot.

Screaming Eagle is another new place we tried and I highly recommend it if you can picture having dinner in bed. Reserve one of the beds and try the Chef's tasting at $59 per person which includes, appetizer, entree and dessert. If you order a la carte, you could be looking at upwards of $150 per person, but the chef's tasting is a great deal and you can order either, seafood, meat or vegetatarian.

I would suggest in order of deliciousness

B55 (down near the Balashi plant)
    Tulip
    Casa LaTascada
    Pam Pam

I would bet that you can get delicious dinners for about $20 pp

All of these places are pretty casual

B55, Tulip and Pam Pam are outdoor (under pavillion) dining
If B55 was more conveniently located, I would eat there every evening!

    Rehearsal Dinners

I got married in Aruba in 2005. We had our rehearsal / welcome dinner for our guests at Moombas. It is right on the beach next to the Marriott and the Holiday Inn. We had about 40 guests. We had our own private section and buffett. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere. I highly recommend!

We got married June 2008 and had our rehearsal dinner at El Gaucho. They put together a nice menu with four options for appetizer, main dish and desert. The original quoted price was $29 pp but we tweaked the menu and it was raised to $35. We had a very long table upstairs very close to the bar. It was a great dinner at a great place.

    great restaurant ideas

Buccanner- Seafood and Steaks- indoor airconditioning with large aquariums.
Gasparito- Local cuisine, indoor outdoor atmosphere in a canucu style home. Their outside terrace is a perfect place for a reception.
Amazonia or Texas de Brazil for Argentenian Grill
    French Steak House at Manchebo
MooMba on the beach with BBQ or dinner entrees
There are so many great places but here are a few to think about,
    Happy Planning
Capturing the passion and love of your special day in paradise.
