Hey everyone,

We are getting married 11-11-11 at the Renaissance. We are going to be using Festival Plaza for the site of the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour. The reception will be held in the Ballroom in the Renaissance Convention Center.

I have looked through several threads of wedding at the Renaissance, but it seems everyone celebrates on Renaissance Island. Is there anyone who has gotten married at Festival Plaza, and if so, what did you think of the locations. Plus, do you have any pictures?

I've shot events at both locations but I must say that the island is my fave by far. The plaza is just the regular. You could have a wedding at a square at home as well but the beach, toes in the sand ceremony and reception is one of a kind. I have images of the beach seeing that that's the popular location, I should also have of the plaza but that has been quite a few years ago and will not easily find those.

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for the advice. We are having a semi-formal James Bond themed wedding. So we thought festival plaza would be perfect. Plus we have a lot of older guests coming who would have a hard time with the boat getting over to the island.

If you get a chance to find the pics that would be great! I have just received some pics from Juney, but it would be great to get another perspective from a real photographer.

It is absolutely beautiful there with easy access for the older generation. Like Bryan, I've shot hundreds of events there, but never a wedding there
