renewal of vows

Does anyone have any tips or past experience renewing your vows in aruba? Our 20th anniv is during our timeshare week, # 15, and we would like to have a casual renewal with family in April while there. We own at Renaissance, and would love to do it at the lagoon or on the island. I guess I would need a minister, but i really don't know where to begin. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

reverendrobertgibson@myway.com Reverend Robert Gibson

Dh and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary this year. When we are in Aruba at Christmas we wanted to do something special not only for ourselves, but for the other 5 members of the family who were unable to attend our wedding in the Bahamas (Remember those days 10 years ago when you could not get married in Aruba? ). Did not want to go the wedding planner route because we simply did not need it. We just wished for a simple ceremony. 10 people with 6 cameras present should result in more than one or two passable photos. We did the same for our wedding and it worked out just fine. If the mood strikes me a couple of weeks before I will call one of the 3 recommended florists for a bouqet and perhaps a basket of flowers for our 11 year old.

I emailed Rev. Gibson, explained what we were looking for and date and such. He confirmed he was available, as well as the price. I will pm you the price. I emailed him back and asked him to reserve the date. Reverend replied, "All details as to location etc. can be finalized as we get closer to the date." So we are basically all set. I have heard only good things about Rev. Gibson. We plan on marrying right outside our room on the beach at the Tamarijn, close to sunset, but light enough to still get in a few photos. Easy and simple.

Thanks for all the info...I really appreciate it. We, along with our good friends, are looking to renew our vows. So, it would kinda be a double renewal ceremony. There will be 26 of us, so it SB a good time...cindy

Renewing Wedding Vows

My husband and I renewed our wedding vows in Aruba for our 40th and 45th wedding anniversaries. We will be married 48 years in January and will be renewing our wedding vows for our 50th in Aruba with our children, grandchildren, close releatives and friends in the summer of 2009 as it is an easier time for everyone to getaway. My husband and I met 16 and got married at 18. The first time we renewed our vows on the beach at sunset, it was an amazing experience My mom had made all the arrangements for our wedding day and even chose our wedding song. This time I was able to plan the event all by myself We love Aruba and have been visiting our home away from home several times a year for the past almost 29 years

If calling from the U.S. first you dial 011, then 297, then 582-4725.

Hi, email him.
He is very accomodating. One of the nicest guys yu would want to meet. We did our renewals at the DIvi Phoenix on the beach at sunset. The News sent a photographer, we then bought the photo's she did. It was a great experience. PM if you have more questions. cindy
