Sand Ceremony

Does anyone know if there are any companies in Aruba that I could buy a sand ceremony sets from (ideally close to the riu)?
I'm thinking that it would probably be easier to purchase when we get out instead of doing 2 trips.

Any help would be appreciated

Sand Cerermony

I am not sure if any stores in Aruba sell sand ceremony items, so I suggest you google wedding sand ceremonies. One of the websites I found is www.partycity.com. I am sure you will find others as well. The decanters and color sand are sold on these websites and sure you will find something that you like. Try to order through a toll free number rather then order on line as it is much better to speak to a live person

Hi my friend got married at the Riu Aruba and I'm sure that they can supply them. I married at a different hotel on the island and they supplied them as well. They even got them engraved for me (at a small charge) you could contact the hotel to find out?

Also they had a choice of sand colours and at the Riu they had two lovely pearlescent shells that they use to pour your sand into the containers. My hotel, the Tamarijn were able to email me photos of the different bottles. Big thanks to Lisa Brinkman my wedding planner who was fantastic and never left my side throughout. Best day of our lives. : )

I'm just curious, do the winds in Aruba make the sand ceremony more complicated? I'm thinking of the unity type sand ceremony. Were you thinking of doing the one where you let the sand go in the wind?

I can only comment on mine which was on the waters edge. We poured the sand into a very small necked bottle which was fine. We had to do it carefully but that was down to the small opening and not the wind. We didn't find this a problem though. The bottle was then corked and decorated with a ribbon and shell by my wedding planner so that we could transport it back to uk : )

Hello Hdr,

I was recently entrusted to procure the sand ceremony material for a couple, and I was lucky enough to find the vases and colored sands at "Win Tung" here in Aruba. It came out to $67 for everything, and am fairly certain if you make a request from your Wedding Planner she would be able to guide you to the place, or get them for you. Or, if you feel a little adventurous, just jump in a taxi and tell them to take you there, and you'll be able to select your vases and colors yourself.

Also, if your Justice Officiate for the wedding is Rev. Banfield, contact him at letzservices@yahoo.com and I know in the past he's arranged to have a set for the ceremony. Nevertheless, if all else fails let us know and one of us here will certainly help you get everything you need.

Best Wishes,

Thank you everyone for your help

We're coming from the UK and as it's not really something carried out here everywhere i've looked is importing them so though it would be easier to get when in Aruba.
We're meeting some friends at the airport a few days before the ceremony so will go to Win Tung before hand and see what they have. I like the look of the heart shaped one so hopefully they will have something like that available

If all else fails Jason i'll be calling upon you as we've booked for you to do the photos/ video

Thanks again

Ok, that sounds good! If you want, send me an e-mail with the picture of what you'd want to have, and I can make sure to have it ready once you get here...It'll save you a trip.

Best Wishes,
