Vow Renewal????

Hi Everyone-

We are going to Aruba in Nov. and my parents want to renew their vows on the beach. I've read everywhere that since it is a renewal and not a real "legal" wedding that anyone can perform the ceremony and sometimes it is nice for family to do it. I would love to surprise them and perform the ceremony...does anyone know anything about being able to do this in Aruba? If there are any special beaches that we could do this on??

Thank you!!

We did it last April for our 20th.
We used Reverend Bob Gibson
He performed the ceremony on the beach outside the Sunset Bistro. We all had drinks later. He's a great guy. See our pics in the gallery on this site. cindy

Surprise

I think it is a great idea to surprise your parents. I have captured many surprises and believe me it is very special especially to see mom walking down the alter and finally realizing it's her surprise. You can marry your parents at any location on Aruba. Beach's are public but as a photographer I would have to say that many people opt the resort area and go to a more secluded area such as Arashi which has the lighthouse in the background making a great backdrop and then they dine at La Trattoria which is only a minute away. Another great area is Eagle beach across from Paradise Resort. Wherever it is the location I know your parents will love it.
Happy planning

My husband and had our vows renewed for our First Wedding Anniversary, followed by magnificent photos by Angela from Bella Aruba Photography and then a romantic dinner. It was so beautiful and a memory we will treasure forever.

Here is the link to our photos and more detailed inforamation:

I love this idea, we are going for our 20th wedding anniversary and have never been to Aruba. What does he charge for a renewal service... this would be so fun and romantic..
thanks

We're also renewing our vows during this trip, for our 5 year anniversary! We're just doing a small, private event that a friend of ours who is an ordained minister, is going to perform.

Vow Renewal

Rev Gibson performed our 50th golden wedding anniversary vow renewal on January 16, 2010, the exact day and date that we were married 50 years ago. Rev. Gibson has been a good friend of ours for years and performed a very personalized and meaningful ceremony. Our good friend, Diane Keijzer who also attended with her husband is an ordained officiant and highly recommend Diane as an officiant if Rev. Gibson is not available. Diane had performed our 45th wedding anniversary vow renewal and also provided a very meaningful and personalized ceremony. Whoever you choose, you will not be disappointed! Photos of our 50th anniversary vow renewal are located on the weddings and honeymoons site.
