Hello, my wife and I will be visiting Aruba in July of 2010 to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I would like to surprise her with a beach side dinner and vow renewal ceremony at sunset. Does any one have any suggestions on a restaurant which could possibly accommodate this? I have reviewed several on line and am leaning towards "Passions"" at the Amsterdam Manor. Any thoughts, and suggestions are welcome. Thank you

I think Passions is a great idea. Maybe prior to sitting down for dinner Rev. Gibson could do a small renewal ceremony? I know that Cindy and Rob did it 18 mos ago and were most pleased with Rev Gibson. OR if you have really deep pockets the private outside dining experience at the HYATT with the black swans could be a real hit........or a picnic on any beach with a bottle of wine, bathing suits, and flip flop kinda event! Rev Gibson was great and reasonable. We did 20 year renewal at sunset near Sunset Bistro at Phoenix....no charge other than the Rev.

Rosalee Klein did our photography....quite happy with her as well.

We are renewing our wedding vows in Aruba on January 16th for our golden 50th wedding anniversary. We know Reverand Gibson very well and his ceremony is very meaningful. I hope he is available to perform our ceremony on January 16th.

Thank you , everyone, for your help. I have already contacted Reverend Gibson and plan of using his services (VERY impressed with him thus far). Any thoughts on 1. Best time to book the dinner reservation to take full advantage of the sunset and 2. Ideas on doing the ceremony before or after dinner? I certainly appreciate the help. Thanks again.

IMO do the ceremony B4 dinner. Check your date and the sunset schedule but chances are it is sometime around 7 and 7:09 pm. Your wife will be so thrilled with such a thoughtful and romantic idea.

Do it b4 dinner to catch the sunset...have a romantic dinner on the beach...idea's : passions, Flying Fishbone, Old man and the sea. Pinchos...

I just had my wedding and honeymoon this past November and my husband and I ate at Passions the night of our wedding.

One word describes this restaurant, magical.

It was fantastic, great atmosphere, food, staff, memories made...you must have your vow renewal there.
