Vows
Quick question- we wanted to incorporate our own vows into the wedding at some point - what is the protocol for the civil ceremony?? Is this possible or should we do it at the beach blessing??
Of course i need to write them first!!!! ![]() Thanks |

That's completely for you to decide, as well as exchange of the rings.
The registrar at the town hall will ask you when you are going to exchange your rings If you would like to say something personal to each other, but no obligation. If you only want to exchange rings on the beach that part will be skipped. I personal think its nicer to save that for the ceremony on the beach where you can exchange your vows during the ceremony. Regards, Robert |

Ok... thanks
bit confused... are you saying they dont normally exchange rings at the town hall...??? Unless the couple want to - same with the vows?? So basically we could do both there, one or neither...? No one has really said what the procedure is for either ceremony so not sure what is expected or what is said.... |

You can "incorporate our own vows" and exchange rings at the civil ceremony. If you choose, you can, as Robert suggested, "its nicer to save that for the ceremony on the beach where you can exchange your vows during the ceremony."

Hi, I think the best man to ask is mr Christians, the officiant at the courthouse. I did ask my friends that got married last december in Aruba and they told me they did it at the courthouse and also on the beach. They took the rings off and gave them to Reverend Robert Gibson right before the beach blessing started and did the ring ceremony again.
