Wedding coordinator and site

who's had a wedding in Aruba recently.
What coordinator did you use? What did you like/not like about them?
Where was your wedding held? What did you like/not like about it?

Any suggestions or tips in planning an Aruban wedding?

I haven't had a weding there, but do visit yearly. A real nice place to have a wedding is on Renaissance Island with the Marriott.
I am sure others can give you more info.

I haven't gotten married there yet but I am getting Married there in Feb. 2008. My coordinator is Lissy from ceremonies and celebrations. She's been fantastic. We are getting married at the Pheonix Divi. We have 75 guest coming to Aruba for our wedding so it's a rather large destination wedding. She advised the divi was a good place for a larger wedding. Hopefully this is helpful. I will most likely post some pics after the wedding.

Has anyone used Samantha from Premier Weddings?
She was referred to me by the Westin.

Has anyone had thier wedding at the Westin? We have a hold there for October but it seems kind of pricey.

Westin Weddings

I have worked with Wyndham before they became Westin. The location is the same, but much improved and will be better yet. When we left Aruba in November, their reception area was still undergoing renovation, but I can assure you it is going to be very beautiful. Personally I was searching for the website of Premier Weddings as I have never heard of Samantha and not sure if they are Aruba based or not. What I can tell you that many of the staff at Westin are the same people that worked for Wyndham and are very professional. Hope this information helped :-)

Thanks Karen!!!

The people at the Westin told me the palapa burned down, so they are rebuilding it!! We had to laugh when we heard that!!
Who did you work with at the Wyndham/Westin?
Who coordinated your civil service?
Did you have everyone go to both ceremonies?

Just wondering if you got any feed back on the wedding planners? I need to contact someone and wanted to know the response you received on this topic, or the location? Please let me know. Thanks!

We are also getting married in Aruba Feb of 08. We went with Lissy from Celebrations/Ceremonies. We are having our event at the Divi Phoenix as well and went with Bella pictures. Lissy has been nothing but wonderful to work with...I never thought planning a destination wedding could be so stress-free but she has certainly made the experience a good one. Even though we haven't had our wedding yet---only 4 weeks away---I have complete confidence that it will be great--good luck to you!!
