thanks, Jason, I will check out that. We are staying at the gold coast across from the tierra del so.
Hello Abby,
I just read your posting. My husband and I have been visiting Aruba several times a year for 35 years and even renewed our wedding vows for our 50th wedding anniversary for just the two of us a year ago January. A couple of months before we had a big reception for family and friends so I am quite familiar with how packages work in New Jersey as we visited several catering halls. I live in NJ too by the way. Having a wedding in Aruba works a bit differently then having a wedding at a catering hall in NY, NJ or wherever. All of the resorts in Aruba are quite lovely in their own way and most have wedding planners that work with the resort wedding packages. The wedding packages at each resort vary in price. What you have to do is go over your budget for a destination wedding and stick to that budget. I wish you a lot of luck :-)

i heard back from the bucuti. my stepdaughter wants me to take pictures of the different places when we are there. i am in love with the bucuti and i love what the manchebo looks like (reminds me of tahiti). so i'll go around and photograph and see which ones i like so she can narrow it down. the bucuti requires 5 days for the bride & groom to stay there but the guests don't have to stay there. but no children (at the wedding, yes). she has her fiance's niece & nephew coming so that might be a problem if they all want to stay in the same place. i'll check it out.
ps thanks for the info, andrea, on the bus route. that's another Plus to tell her in saving money.
For what it is worth...We were just married at the Bucuti on May 6th. It was amazing. Also, we had several family and friends (including some children) at the wedding but none of us stayed there until the day of the wedding, when we checked in for the honeymoon. We all stayed as a big group at the Radisson the week before, because the high rise area is a much more diverse area for everyone to explore easily, but we wanted to have the smaller more semi-private beach wedding at the Bucuti. SO, by booking our honeymoon there starting the day of the wedding seemed to work for everyone. Nashette at Bucuti was totally awesome to work with and I would strongly recommend her and the Bucuti. if you have any specific questions feel free to ask...we got back to reality this weekend but our minds are still floating in the sea...
Bucuti is located on a beautiful beach. It is right next store to Manchebo Beach Resort and on the other side is Costa Linda Beach Resort which is a timeshare. All are located on Eagle Beach. The beaches in that location are nice and wide as compared to the high rise beaches.
