We will be leaving for Aruba in 37 days to be married on January 1st. I will have my wedding dress along with dresses for my 3 daughters and my future husbands 3 daughters...so that is 7 dresses!!!! We are flying US Airways and I was planning on packing them all neatly amongst 3-4 suit cases. However, has there been a problem with bags being delayed or lost to Aruba??? We have a direct flight. Any advise would be great. Packing hints etc

We flew domestically on Saturday. Our flight was cancelled and our 2 suitcases were lost. Luckily our luggage was found and delivered to us about 8 hours after landing. IMHO, don't take the chance with your wedding dress or those of the children. Carry them aboard with you.

I got married in Aruba in July, and took my wedding dress on as my carry on. I would suggest you do that as well. US Airways was very accommadating, and placed my dress in the closet they had in first class. I don't know being the winter if that will be possible, but I would bring it on, and have it steamed when you get to the hotel. It is the safest route.
