Question Wedding in February- good idea or not?

    Hi everyone,

I was hoping to get some opinions on a February wedding in Aruba. Specifically, whether it's a good idea. LOL.

My fiance and I have been to Aruba once, in October of last year, and we both absolutely loved it. We stayed at the Divi AI and loved the fact that it was never overly crowded.

Now that we are engaged and planning our wedding, we'd love to have it in Aruba in February (great excuse to escape the cold of the northeastern part of the US). However, I am now wondering if this is really a good idea, considering February is part of peak season in Aruba. Our only other experience with the island was during a non-peak time.

Can anyone tell me if the beach at Manchebo is typically overly crowded in February? I know the beach is public, and I know we're bound to have a few random non-wedding guests watching us or showing up in the background of pictures, but for those of you who have been to this area in February, do you think it might be too crowded?

Thank you for any insight or thoughts on this question!

have you yet spoken to the planner at the Manchebo?

Great location and i would not worry of beach being overcrowded. Manchebo's beach is HUGE.

Have you yet made a plan or set a date?

If you plan the civil service too on aruba, you had better get your stuff in order to get the process rolling.

Please speak to a wedding planner

    Febuary Wedding a good idea?

Yes, it is true. February is high season in Aruba. Manchebo has a beautiful beach and depending upon if you want a late afternoon, sunset wedding, you might find more guests still staying on the beach to watch the sunset. Because they are guests of the resort, you cannot ask them to leave the beach because of a wedding ceremony taking place. The staff at Manchebo knows just where to set up a ceremony so that it will be a bit further away from the guests staying on the beach to watch the sunset. Manchebo has a very large beach and most guests are respectul enough to not to disturb the wedding ceremony taking place.

We have stayed at Manchebo several times during the month of February. The beach is always gorgeous and never crowded. It is a beautiful spot for a wedding. My only advice would be to make sure you and your guests plan on arriving several days before the wedding. A few years ago, our flight was canceled do to a snow storm, and we weren't able to get another flight to Aruba for three days. Since it is a peak time of year, all of the flights are crowded, so if your flight is canceled, it will probably be a few days before you will be able to catch another flight. Other than that, it is a wonderful time to be in Aruba (actually, our favorite).

    Febuary Wedding

Yes, it could snow in February, but anything in life is taking a chance. You shouldn't worry about snow! We were in Aruba last January and several flights were canceled so the people going to Aruba were stuck and the people staying in Aruba, were stuck. We were stuck in Aruba for 3 additional glorious days (if you want to call it stuck) If you decide to get married in Aruba in February, the planners and resorts are professional enough to reshedule your wedding day. Don't worry, be happy
