Westin Weddings

I'm looking into getting married at the Westin next summer. Has anyone had their wedding there? Any comments/suggestions?

Hi Gigi,
My newspaper - THE NEWS - just covered a beautiful wedding at Westin. It was the fourth wedding from the same family at the hotel. I think that says a lot about guest satisfaction... The name has changed from Wyndham to Westin, but everyone is still there doing a great job.
Have fun! Happy Honeymoon.

Wedding at Westin

Hi Gigi,

The News has covered many of my weddings through the years My company is Cayena Weddings and Events. The website is www.cayenaweddingsandevents.com. I am coveniently located in the New York City/New Jersey area and have representatives in Aruba who coordinate with myself and our wedding couple long distance. In this way, our couples have the best of both worlds, their planner in the USA and their planner in Aruba. As well, I make myself available to my couples 7 days a week by telephone for any questions or requests and personally meet with couples that live and work in my local area. When at all possible, we attend our couples weddings. I also come to Aruba several times a year and have been visiting Aruba frequently for 28 years. Our representatives are wonderful and will do exactly what you request including working with your wedding budget to make sure that your wedding day is everything that you wished for. Most importantly, we treat our couples as if they are members of our own family or dear friends. It is our aim to see to it that our couples have the most beautiful wedding imaginable that they will remember for the rest of their lives. As far as Westin goes, the property used to be Wyndham Resorts and has undergone a complete renovation. The staff is great at the Westin and are the same staff that we have worked with when they were Wyndham. Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask :-).

Hi, Margaret is right. The Westin has been doing plenty of weddings and I've witnessed a lot of them, since I also take pictures for their weddings. The one published in The News was indeed one of the many weddings I shot at the Westin. I'm sure Inge van Roon as Rosemary Jacobs will be glad to assist you and guide you throught the whole planning of your wedding and make sure you will never forget your wedding day.
FYI: some of the pictures on my website were shot at the Westin.
If you need some more samples of the last weddings I shot at the Westin, I will gladly email them to you.

Best regards

Margaret..what is your affiliation with "the news"?
my husband and i like that particular "freebie" newspaper that is delivered to the resorts weekdays!
IMO, WAY BETTER than Aruba Today

and i did not delete or edit this thread for those of you that consider Margaret's post "advertising" since the newspaper is a freebie her post stays.

Hi! Oops, I did not realize about the "advertising" bit. Sorry... I was just trying to tell Gigi that she is in good hands. Roosje coordinated the wedding I mentioned.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE COMPLIMENT! In short: I am the Editor and Special Events Coordinator for The News (mon-fri + Sunday). My grandmother started the paper in 1951, my mom is my boss and through the years family members have come and gone as part of our team.
