1st time to Aruba for 25th Anniversary
WootComing to Aruba the first 9 days in Feb. Staying at Palma Real. Our first time with a condo. We love to snorkel and are looking forward to 9 amazing Sunsets. Any local info would be most welcome!

i encourage you to browse/surf around this forum and around the aruba.com site.

look especially at activities and sports and all things pertaining to snorkeling.

look at culinary/culture and check out restaurants.

feel free to post questions in those appropriate categories.

palma real is a nice condo/townhouse neighborhood.

across from palma real is LINDAS pancake/pizza restaurant.
YUM and not only for breakfast.
closed sundays.

their tomato soup and chicken and beef sate' is excellent.

Would recommend a snorkeling trip with Stuart at www.arubabobsnorkeling.com. Cost was $40 per person in December. Great trip using a 'water scooter' at a good site in Aruba. You will find comments on the forum. Also, information under Kent Gerber, one of the owners on the forum.

Restaurants to consider:

Barefoot
Mirandi
Yemanji
Gostosos
Smokey Joes

If you rent a car, then I suggest Ace Car Rental at www.acearuba.com.

Congrats on 25!! My wife and I are also going to be in Aruba for the 1st time celebrating our 25th.

Wedding vows
I think renewing vows is a wonderful idea. Back in July 2011 my husband and I renewed our vows on the beach at sunset at the Radisson. It wasn't very expensive and Lisa Dammerman the wedding coordinator worked with us via email and upon arrival in Aruba we did meet with her. Lisa took care of all the details and it was just amazing. Not sure if you are traveling alone but my husband and I were and I will never forget that day. I can give you the info to get in touch with Lisa at the Radisson if you are interested.
