1st Time visiting Aruba!

Hi All...another newbie to this site and Aruba! WE are RCI members and use our pts to travel..been going to Puerto Vallarta for past 3 yrs, but decided to try somewhere new! We need to travel during school vacations so it's difficult getting reservations. We were able to get into the Divi Dutch Village for Feb.2011. We are bringing another family with us..we have a studio and a 1 bedroom reserved..we are all excited and looking forward to a warm getaway as our NY weather was a cold one this past year!

the divi dutch is a nice quiet property!
the beach is less than a 2 minute walk from most of the dutch buildings.

I have not been at the "Divi Dutch Village,: but you can rest assured that wherever you decide to stay in Aruba..."You Will Love It There." The people are truly friendly and anxious to make your vacation stay a memorable experience. Aruba certainly lives up to it's name: "One Happy Island, aka "Paradise."

Have a wonderful time; post comments about your vacation.

Welcome to the forum, we have stayed a couple of times at Divi Dutch and have enjoyed our stay each time... but then again we are not looking for a 5 star hotel room, we want something clean and comfortable as we do not stay much in the room. Enjoy your visit to Aruba!

Thanks everyone..for those of u who have stayed at the Divi Dutch is there a hot tub on site or jetted tubs in the 1 bedroom units? We are not fancy people either..do like a balcony and kitchen and do not do all inclusive when we travel..the DDV fit our needs! To save on resort tabs,we buy our own alcohol , make our blender drinks , put it in our wheeled cooler( that has more miles on it than my sneakers!) and off we go to the beach and pool! We like to save on dining expenses too by shopping for groceries for breakfast and lunch and going out for dinner. Searching for restaurants on this site is next on my prep list! Thanks again for the warm welcome!

bryanne,
not sure about the jacuzzi's in the rooms, but there is a couple of hot tubs at divi village which you are allowed to use as guests of the divi complex.....
we do the same also....drinks in room and then coolers to beach..or where ever we decide to go ...and we make breakfast, lunch and 75% of our dinners in the room as well...there are so many great restaurants that we could eat out all the time, but them we would not have any money to pay the hotel bill a the end of our stay...LOL..
Here are a couple of my fav restaurants .....Madame Janette's (a must), Papiamento (also a must), Sole Mare, Flying Fishbone....let us know what you think when you return !!!!

BTW, welcome to the forum
