    35 days to go.

Hi everyone, in 35 days my husband, two sons (14 & 15) and I are arriving in Aruba for the first time ever. We are staying at the Tamarijin for two weeks and can't wait.....it's been a long time in the making...so excited

Thank you for the Welcome Lisa. I have been reading the boards for awhile now and decided last night to join. I do have a question....when it rains on Aruba, is it a deluge and then gone or is it a steady drizzle? We are coming during the rainy season and DH and I have had a couple of discussions on the subject...I say a quick dump and gone with rising humidity, he's holding out for rain all day like it does here (Alberta, Canada).....not that it really matters. A rainy day in Aruba still beats anyday here!

Last year we were in Aruba fo 2 weeks @ the divi (next door to the Tam). We had rain for about 30mins in the morning on day 15, the day of our depature. This rain came after our morning swim and breakfast. From what I read, it rains mostly overnight, and any day rain is typically quick and rarely washes out a beach day. I don't think u will have any worries. We also we will be @ the tamarijn for 12 days in november. If it does rain, we will use that day to shop, maybe explore some new resturaunts that we normaly skip since we r staying @ an all inclusive.

Welcome to the forum! You will love Aruba and the Tamarijn! We have already started to pack, getting excited.

Welcome to the aruba . Com community forum.

The rain in rainy season is unpredictable but can be a good downpour then clear

Some rain overnight. Sometimes it can be pouring at palm beach but but clear downtown. Rarely does it rain all day.

Yes, I win Thank you mjl and Andrea. J for the typical rain patterens and the welcome...I am enjoying reading the boards and your sound advice

Hah Danadog, I'm already addicted and I haven't even been there yet....although learning about your vacation spot is half the fun. I am impressed with the enthusiasm of the senior members and all the return visits to Aruba.

I am looking forward to snokeling (really the whole reason for this vacation, in my mind) and seeing a live reef system...I am a novice snorkeler and have really only done it a handful of times but those few times sparked something in me that makes me want more

Thanks again everyone for the warm welcome!
