Another 1st Timer in Aruba for Wedding Anniversary

My wife and I will be arriving Oct 4th for 7 days to celebrate 39 years of marriage. We will be renting car (probably from Avis, Econo, or Budget) so we can get around the island as and when we want. Seems we definitely want to dine once at Madam Jeannettes. Any other ideas anyone can offer. We want some time to relax and wind down (wife's mom just passed on Labor Day) as well as explore the island at our liesure.

Welcome to the forum.

For a wedding anniversary, I would search through these threads and see if you find anything which sounds romantic to you.

My personal favorites in no particular order:

The Chefs Table Reswtaurant is almost as good as Madem Janettes. Try the grouper!

Daniels (steakhouse) and Givannis (Italian) are side by side and both are awesome. ask for menus from both restaurants... they work out of the same kitchen.

We too are first timers to Aruba. Arriving November 14 to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We have had suggestions from others to go to Old Man & the Sea. We are told this is very romantic also. We plan to rent a jeep for one day to tour the countryside. Can't wait!!! Any other suggestions???

Windows on Aruba, across from the Tam at Divi Links (Excellent). When your on the north side don't drive in the sand very soft! On your island tour you start with California Lighthouse, crashing waves, Alto Vista, Gold Mine ruins, Natural Bridge, Baby Beach to snorkel or stand in waist deep water & hand feed the fish, Charlies bar in San Nicolas for a cold one est. 1941, this is all do able in 1/2 day or how ever long you wish.
