Hey welcome to the forum! I'm new too and
I actually booked a tour with Bully for 3 hours. He is also getting us from the airport. Send him a message or email and he will send you information on the tour options. I guess I'm confused. I thought Mi Dushi, Jolly Pueates and Black Pearl (etc.,) were all companies offering sailing/snorkeling/sunset sail tours. I was going to decide on just one and book it as I thought it was all personal preference? I have to go back and do some more research now and get clear. I thought they all offered an open bar, snacks or lunch depending which cruise you chose, a rope swing and snorkeling stops. Can someone tell me what the difference is between the companies besides different companies, different boats and personal preference? Does anyone recommend one over the other? I think Mi Dushi is a wooden Viking type boat? So much to do in Aruba and so little time! I keep learning more and more and am afraid to miss out on something great or make the wrong choice. Hi Everyone,
My husband and I first went to Aruba in March 2009, after being told by our fertility specialist that we wouldn't be able to have any more children (we already have a son, who was almost 2 at the time). It was the most beautiful, relaxing trip ever. Turns out, a few weeks after we returned, I found out I got pregnant in Aruba! The island will always have a special and magical place in our heart. We have decided to return to the same hotel (Aruba Marriott and Stellaris Casino) in December. This time, we are bringing our two children. Our son will be 3 and our daughter will be 11 1/2 months. People think we are crazy for bringing our kids, but our son loves the ocean and I know he will be amazed by the beautiful, calm water there. I'm a bit nervous about being on a plane ride for 4 hours and 40 minutes with the baby, but we'll see what happens. I was wondering if anyone used babysitting services at the hotel. I am so nervous about doing this. What if the woman runs off with my kids? After going through such processes to get pregnant, I am very overprotective. My husband and I would like to have just a few hours one night to ourselves, but I'm nervous about it. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks so much! |

I am also going to Aruba in a couple of weeks with my daughter who will be 12.5 months. I have flown with her before and it's not too bad. In fact, it seems that it's harder with toddlers and the 2-4 year olds struggle more with the trip.
As for babysitting services, I completely understand your concern as we are in the same boat. Im also a liitle over protective as my DD was my 6 pregnancy and only baby I have. She was born at 27 weeks, 0 days weighing 1 lb 8 oz. I can't just leave her with anyone. She's our miracle baby! I have been referred to a babysitting service with insured, bonded and licensed babysitters. They have first aid and CPR as well. I was also told about another lady, Mariza, who apparently is wonderful. She's not a professional sitter I think but highly recommend. Unfortunately for us, she's away while we are in Aruba. I'm there sept 18-oct 2 and can let you know what our experience is like. I do have a couple of other names that forum members provided but in the end, I decided to go with the professional insured company instead of individuals. It's just my preference. Others make friends and use great ladies they get to know. It's our first time in Aruba and I don't know anyone personally. Thanks for sharing your story, congratulations and I hope you have a blast! I don't think it's crazy at all to take your children. |
