    Aruba Bound

    Hi, have a great trip.

My first trip to Aruba departs in 14 days, 20 hours, leaving from Albany, NY. My wonderful wife visited a couple years ago with her mom, sister, & two sisters in law and said we NEED to go back. This trip is with 4 couples, planning to have a great time!

Hi, I am going for first time in May with a girlfriend from MA. We still have to book a hotel, any recommendations please...somewhere lively, nice pool and beach and able to walk out to places. Thinking the Renaissance, Radisson, Westin, or how is Diva Aruba Village?? We can't decide??

Arubarays, Have a great trip, party hearty.

Boston_Aruba, I like the Radisson, but have you also considered the Marriott Stelliars, looks super nice, and has resturants and stores across the street

Thank you Kathy. My head is spinning from looking . I read good things of Radisson, Renaissance (Being walking to downtown location..). I now see Occidental w/AI show good rates, but can't tell location to town. We are 2 ladies to relax, don't want to be too quiet, nice and lively. I like resorts that has those, good happy hours would be a plus!!

I know there' cheap buses, but we like to just walk easily to go out places , to go outside resort. Any thoughts on Divi All inclusive??

Thank you Andrea.. do you mean Divi Village on your list, the AI -one yes? Rennaissance seems to have our key location and has adults section. I read it very close to airplanes.

If you are considering the Divi Village, you may want to consider the Divi or Tamarijn instead. The Tamarijn offers not only all inclusive but all rooms are directly beachfront. There is nothing like waking up in the morning and walking straight out of your room onto the beach.

The Divi Village is across the road from the beach and the Divi Dutch Village is located behind the Tamarijn, thus not directly on the beach.

The disadvantage is that there is not much within walking distance. There is one casino and downtown Oranjestad is a 10 minute bus ride, or you can take one of the Tamarijn's bicycles.

Thanks Lisa, i do want to be close to walking. Haven't heard much on Occidental ?(seeing a good rate now with AI). I would consider AI if not much. What's your thought on Radisson/Renaissance...?
As for excursions, would probably be best to do on the island- right, not pre book?

The Radisson is a beautiful resort in the heart of Palm Beach. There are tons of activities and resorts on Palm Beach as well as restaurants in every price range. The Occidental is a good choice for all inclusive on Palm Beach. The Holiday Inn, Riu and Westin offer all inclusive packages as well. The Radisson offers some meal/drink packages.

As to the Renaissance, it is located in the heart of downtown Oranjestad with plenty of shopping and some restaurants within walking distance. The Renaissance offers their guests use of their private island for loungin on the beach. It is just a short boat ride away.
