Aruba bound in May 10!

Hi everyone, 28 year old Australian single male, Ive always wanted to go to Aruba and it looks like in late May/ Early June after many months of debating whether i should save for a house deposit or go to the Carribbean i figured you only live once so i'm going to Aruba!

I'm staying at the Renaissance for 7 nights (Flying into Aruba from Chicago and out to New York...at least thats the plan!)

So i'm just wondering what people recommend i absolutely have to do, After all this is a once in a lifetime trip and i don't know if i'll ever get back, And i apologise as i realise people probably ask this question all the time!

I figure i'm going to do the island/desert tour, try snorkelling (Can you believe i live in Australia and have never been?) maybe a bit of shopping, (What are they like for clothes/souvenirs?) etc

And if anyone's going around the same time let me know!

Cheers

Cam

LOL - I like the way you think.... vacation over a house. If I was a single male - I'd do the same. My wife would kick my butt though if I tried to do that!

Are you spending time in Chicago and New York or just connecting there?

Sounds like some long days of flying!

Re:

Thanks guys, Links were really helpful!

Shynyda - I was going to be staying in Chicago a few days, And i've been to the states and New York before....Love the big Apple! I've since found an even cheaper fare through Amsterdam, never been to Mainland Europe so i think i'm going to take that flight instead as it's a $400 AUD difference!

I've also added on 4 nights in Curacao to get another islands experience as well!
