Just be aware you are staying at a hotel in the downtown area. Not right on the beach. Nothing wrong with that hotel but it depends on what you are looking for.

definitely stay at the ren marina..my wife and i have stayed there 10 times and we love it..the marina is an adults only which is great if you're on your honeymoon..they have a suites hotel across the street which accepts kids and you can use both facilities..they also have a private island which is unbelievable..it's my opinion that the ren is one of the nicest hotels in aruba..lg smith's steak and chophouse is also a fantastic restaurant..you have shopping, restaurant's, bars, entertainment, sightseeing all within walking distance..make sure to get an ocean view room and let them know its your honeymoon, they will take care of you..the people there are the greatest and really know how to treat their guests..

Aruba Renaissance

The Aruba Renaissance and Renaissance Marina Suites is managed by Marriott. We stayed at the Renaissance Marina Suites a year ago and found the suites very comfortable and decorated very beautifully. My husband and I own timeshare and visit Aruba several times a year. The reason we stayed at the Renaissance was because our flight was cancelled and so the airline put all the passengers up for the night there. Although we were not able to use the beach or pool or go to the island because the chartered buses did not get the passengers over until 8 p.m., we were able to have dinner accross the street in the Seaport Mall. It was a nice change of pace and wished that we could have stayed an extra day to enjoy staying in Oranjestad and visiting the island. For anyone that is staying at Aruba Renaissance or Renaissance Marina Suites, there is shuttle service between the two resorts which is great The shopping in the Renaissance Seaport Mall is great as well.
