Wonderful that you will be in Aruba around the same time as my husband and I. We will arriving on November 10th and departing on November 20th. We have been visiting Aruba several times a year for almost 30 years and feel like Aruba is our second home. I'm sure you will love Aruba and want to return again and again. Please stay in touch and maybe some of us can get together within that time period.
PS We just booked a mini trip from September 4th to September 9th.
We will be staying at our timeshare, Casa del Mar. We love Chalet Suisse and can always get a great meal. We also enjoy Madame Jenette's, Simply Fish on the Beach at Marriott Stellaris Beach Resort and Casino and we have eaten at Giannni's twice since they opened last year. We plan to eat at Passion's this next trip. They have gotten very good reviews and we do injoy eating on the beach. Another nice restaurant that you might enjoy is Ventanas del Mar at Tierra del Sol Country Club. In Oranjestad, you should try Rumba. This restaurant is the same owner as Mathews Beachside at Casa del Mar. Both Mathews and Rumba have a very nice selection for lunch and dinner and what is nice about Mathews is that they are located in open air, but covered Palapa. What else would you like to know?
was thinking about chalet suisse, we are staying at Radisson, we have reservation already for Passions, I didn't realize sunset so early in November, so have a 7 reservation, going to change so i can be there for sunset. They have a Moonlite ( full moon ) sailing on Red sail on Nov. 13th, which I also thought would be nice. I would like to snorkel a little ( i am far from experienced ), but thought a nice Catamaran ride would be nice, but don't want to do one of these 6 hour ones, any recommendation ?
Make your Passion reservation at 5:30 p.m. and request a table close to the sea. The choice tables are given to the earlier reservations. Go for the 2 hour snorkle catamaran sail. Red Sails does have a good one and they serve a small lunch. We did that cruise a couple of years ago and had a wonderful time. We have never done the night catamaran sunset dinner cruise. However, we have done the sunset cruise for 2 hours on both Red Sails and Pelican Aventures. Snacks and a full bar is served. The catamaran crews are friendly, knowledgeable and want to show the guests a great time. On our last trip in June, we took a tour of the Tattoo ship during the day. There is a new partner there and they have completely renovated the ship and offer a nice dinner package. Something to look into when you are on the island. Any further questions?
We will be in Aruba from Nov 22-29 this year. It will be my our first trip and we are super excited. We are also staying at the DIVI Phoenix and am interested to hear how far they are on the construction.
