Talking First Timer All The From Ireland!

Coming to Aruba for the first time at the start of June for our Honeymoon!! Can't wait, don't really know what to expect as we normally go somewhere hot in Europe for a sun holiday!!!! Reviews look great!
Here's hoping it's a good spot, and has some good bars!

Does anyone know what team will most of the locals be supporting in the world cup?

Irish - welcome to the forum. I am sure you will find Aruba very pleasant. Although the island is small make sure you venture out as there is lots to see/do and the people are fantastic

Cheers guys!

Staying at the Bucuti, in the Tara suites - it looks good, seen many great reviews, and choose it because it seems intimate and most importantly friendly, hope it is good for us too!

Done quite a bit of homework already! mostly going through trip advisor posts for good places to eat etc.

Can't wait. If the bride gets cold feet and doesn't turn up on the day I'm still coming!!!

Again in the football (soccer) world cup which starts on 11th June, who will the locals be rooting for?

My guess is Holland (plenty of Dutch locals on the island..)

Aruba didn't qualify

They will pobably have the games on at Busters Garage and I am sure there will be a mix of support for different teams.

Welcome Irish guy.Just a couple to get you started.Carlos and Charlies and also Charlies Bar.Two good places to get your groove on.

As far as it being hot.....thats an understatement. Here is some advice and if it's the only advice you listen to then what I'm about to tell you should be it.

WEAR SUNBLOCK Being you are Irish and I have quite a few friends who are Irish.Your skin is probably extremely light. From the moment you go outside..........WEAR SUNBLOCK!!!!!!! Keep applying liberally all day not just once.

OK I hope I got the point across. You are going to have a great time in aruba and you will be back.
