First Trip To Aruba!

My boyfriend and I will be taking our first trip to Aruba on Monday Aug 6th and will be there until Saturday Aug 11th!

We are super excited about our trip! Is there anything we should expect or be aware of? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Welcome! You will love Aruba. The weather is great and so are the people. Everyone is very friendly and you will feel right at home. There are many awesome restaurants and never enough time to try them all. Try some of the activities. I really enjoyed the sunset cruise. Have a good trip.

The weather will be hot with a strong breeze to keep you comfortable. Plan on an island tour, a 4 x 4 Jeep tour if you are young and adventurous. For something different, also check out out one of the night time bar hopping tours.

We will be staying at the Marriott Renaissance. Is that in an area where there are a lot of choices for activities and restaurants? I also heard that Renaissance Island is great. Has anyone been there?

Thanks!

Welcome! Enjoy your trip to Aruba. I am sure you will love it as the other posts have said it is wonderful. I will see you at the airport on the 11th. Unfortunately you will be in the departures terminal and I'll just be arriving.

You will have an amazing time! My first trip was last year and we've already booked this years trip for November. The one thing that I think everyone should experience is the KuKu Kanuku bus! I wish someone had taken a picture of my face when it pulled up - but we had a blast and met a ton of great people!

Hello

Hello everyone! I am actually getting on a plane and taking my dream vacation to Aruba. I always wanted to go and now I got the nerve up to do it. I am so excited and I keep watching the days fly by until I get in paradise. Just a question though, how is the weather for November? That is when I will be heading there. Just want to make sure my trip won't be a washout of rain. I heard it hardly ever rains in Aruba, but just need some reassurrance.

compared to lots of places it "hardly rains in aruba".

that being said, nov, dec and early jan are the rainy season although not much rain to speak of.

we have been in aruba over thanksgiving and have had numerous rain showers that last 15 minutes and then dry up quickly and sun is back out.

same thing for christmas.

our worst weather was this past february where we had a couple of washout days................well, rain on and off most of the days...........mostly on.

typically aruba has wonderful weather year round!

enjoy

You will love the Reniasance Island. It has 2 beaches, nude and family. Good restaurant, tennis courts, paddle boats, work out hut, and a place for a private massages. The waiters and waitresses are great, we exchange gifts and holiday cards with them. Jorge is the best. There is however one nasty boat captain, and the minute you step on the boat you will know who I am talking about( the rest are nice, friendly, helpful). The guy I am speaking about hates little kids and all the stuff they need on the beach...............Renniassance Island is like heaven!

Andrea- thank you for the response- I am going there Nov. 2 - Nov.11. Cant wait to go. My friends go there every year and they told us we had to go this year. And boy I do need this vacation. I generally don't wait for the winter time cause I love the summer, but this is the first time I keep pushing for November to come.
