Going to Aruba!

Hello everyone.
My boyfriend and I will be traveling to Aruba in June! We will be staying with the Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive.

We are very excited! This will be our first time in Aruba. In 2010 we went to Jamaica, although we will probably not be going back there. We hope Aruba will be a more pleasant experience.

Anyways, I was hoping to hear about what you think is ONE must see place in Aruba? We are hoping to get off our resort a little bit and explore! So let me know what you think Thanks!!!

i would recommend an island tour that would include california lighthouse, gold mine ruins, fallen down natural bridge, baby beach, alto vista chapel, wind farm.

Welcome to the Forum. You obviously have come to the right site to find out where to go; what to do, and all the sundry information about Aruba. Not only will the monitors help you...Andrea and Lisa...but other Forum members will be more than happy to assist you.

So, that being said, Aruba lives up to it's reputation..."One Happy Island," and "Paradise." You will love the people and the Island and come back again, and again.

it is a rough difficult ride out there and back

both times we made the trek to find the natural pool closed due to the high waves/currents

some folks attempt to make it there on their own in a rental vehicle.
i warn against that.

if you go, make sure it is on a tour from a reputable company like Kini or Depalm.

Welcome! You are going to love Aruba more than you can even imagine....We went to Jamaica years ago and would not go back and have been to many islands before we discovered "Paradise" and have no intentions of going to any other island than Aruba. You will feel so safe on and off the resorts which will be a big change from Jamaica, no one will bother you to buy items while relaxing on the best beach in the world etc. The people are the friendliest, happiest people you could meet, they will remember you on your return trip(s) and believe me you will be back many times as you cannot stop yourself from day dreaming about Aruba once you return home. Thanks to this wonderful forum you can live thru others who are planning their trip or returning from their trip and sharing their trip reports with us all. I hope you will be nice enough to share your first time experience with us all. I always stay at Divi Divi (note my sign on name) which is part of the Tam also you can use both places, bars, restaurants etc. If you do the tour of the island you may enjoy the somewhat new "Trikes Tour" it is a great price for 3 hrs, you feel so safe and comfy and feel like a rock star. Be sure to check out the reviews for this. Anyway, have a great time and I suggest visiting this forum often for tips and reviews!

Thank you! I am indeed doing a lot of reading up on the forum. I am glad I found it before our trip (June 11th).
I mean, we liked Jamaica, but we definitely didn't feel safe off of our resort (We didn't even attempt to). It was our first out of country trip, we don't have too much experience with planning vacations.
