Happy to finally be a member of the BB
Hello fellow Arubaphiles!
My name is Sue (short for Suzanne) and I am happy to finally join in with all the wonderful people here on Aruba.com and share in the joy and pleasure we all know Aruba to be. I have visited this bulletin board many times for absolutely invaluable information over the years and wish to express my appreciation to all of you who make such a wonderful contribution to this forum on a regular basis. I hope to make a meaningful contribution as well.
Just a little info about myself. I am a middle aged widow and retired school teacher/child advocate. I have two grown daughters, one a teacher and the other a college student studying abroad. I am blessed to have met another truly wonderful life partner to whom I am engaged to marry. Together, we share one of the greatest of life's pleasures, our wonderful sojourns to Aruba (number 19 coming in June, '09!)
I have just returned from another wonderful vacation on the island and have nothing but "glowing" things to report about my stay. On this particular trip (for two weeks) I had the pleasure of meeting some truly extraordinary people, both native and visitors alike. During my stay, Aruba also had a visit from a number of dignitaries, among them Jessie Jackson and the First Lady of Columbia.
So, in conclusion, I again appreciate the opportunity to participate in some interesting discussions and share some experiences, insights and perspective about this great island nation and her wonderful people.
Sue you said you were a retired school teacher, I found 5 misspelled words. I'm only kidding! We are glad to have you aboard. 19 is a lot of trips I will there in another 5 - 6 years hopefully. Welcome!!
