Hello ! Coming Back to Aruba in July !

Hello - Name is Jeff and coming back to Aruba! My wife and I have visited before, staying at a friends house there on two different occasions. The house was in Noord and was magnificent.
Now here we are years later, my wife is turning 50 in July and she wants to spend her birthday in ARUBA! So here we come. The house we stayed at has been sold, but looking forward to our new accommodations this time at The Boardwalk Small Hotel Aruba. Also dinners at El Gaucho, Smokey Joes, and Texas de Brazil Steakhouse. We also had a great dinner at the Bucaneer which was very close to where we stayed - May hit that place again too !
Snorkeling every day will be on the agenda, as well as for me, visiting Jay at The Cigar Emporium downtown. She is legendary in the cigar world and I look forward to meeting her and sipping some great rum and smoking and buying some cigars while there.
Oh by the way - In case you can't tell - We are VERY excited about this trip! Im even giddy about getting back to Super Food grocery store ! Haha Thanks for listening to my over the top excitement ! Oh and did I mention the Jolly Pirates?

Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

    Good morning Jeff and others,

I agree with everyone else here; your enthusiasm Jeff for our favourite island is understandable and infectious.

Love your taste in restaurants. Let's be frank here, El Gaucho's 16 oz gaucho steak is the best tasting source of protein on the planet. After snorkeling you have to replace the muscle you used up, right? What better place to do that than El Gaucho.

I've been going to Aruba since 1980. Back then, the hospital was the biggest building in Aruba and the high-rise district had four hotels. Anybody remember when the Talk of the Town was everyone's special occasion restaurant and men had to wear jacket and tie to get in? Sorry, but I too get enthusiastic when talking about Aruba.

There have been lots of changes over the years but all the things which make Aruba, well Aruba, are still there in abundance.

Have a great trip! We'll raise a Heineken or two as we wish your wife a Happy Birthday.
