Ive visited Aruba several times in the past. Twice on a cruise and once for a week vacation. We are planning to return soon and are in the process of planning a vacation. We are staying at the Aruba Marriott & Stellaris Casino and I would like to know any reasonably priced eating spots that are within walking distance! thanks, sharon

the malls and eateries at the palm beach area are a 10 minute walk from the marriott campus

Hi Sharon, and welcome to the board. We've stayed several times at the Stellaris, and after staying the last couple of years at the Hyatt, we'll back at the Stellaris next trip (my husband travels a lot, and we go where the points take us). We like both places a lot, and while the shopping and most restaurants are just out the front door of the Hyatt, as Andrea said, it's just a short walk from the Stellaris, maybe 15 mins. We walk around the back of the Marriott time shares, and either cut around to the main drag near Moomba's Beach Bar or sometimes through the Holiday Inn. There's not sidewalk the whole way, so you do walk through the sand a bit. If you're dressed up or just don't want to make the hike, the cab fair is cheap...$6 + tip.

In the afternoon, if you're looking for a good not too expensive lunch, we LOVE the Marriott Burger served at their beach bar/restaurant. I think it's $15. It's huge and served with a ton of fries. My husband and I easily split one order (and I split mine again). We never ask, but they always serve us on two plates when we tell them we're sharing. To be fair, we tip as if we both ordered a full meal. My husband has eaten the Marriott Burger at other Marriotts, and he swears they're not as good as this one.

Welcome to the Forum. Have stayed at all three Merriotts and have been treated royally. Loved the Hamburger shack there. I know that you will love your vacation. Loads of valuable information on the forum and will you be treated as a family member by all the forum members..
