Hi --new to message board

Hello! Counting down the days to our Aruba vacation. Haven't been back to Aruba since 1990. For past 5 years have been visiting the Iberostar resorts in Mexico or Dominican Republic but couldn't pass up the great prices at the Tamarijn. With a 13 and 16 yr old, this looks amazing. Wondering if it is safe to let the kids roam the resort? Any tips would be appreciated. We will be there 11/21-11/28. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. You will notice many changes in Aruba, hopefully for the better.

As to the Tamarijn, we have stayed there three times with our dd who is now 13 yo. We allow her to go off on her own, more often than not with friends. HOWEVER, we have the stipulation that she will tell us where she is going to be, for example, playing billiards or in the game room and set a limit as to how far she can go. In other words, for an example, "stay between buildings 1300 and 1900".

you "may" see your teens for mealtime.
lots of stuff for them to do.
our son, when he was early teens would spend hours trying to windsurf and tons of time with a crowd of kids at the pool.
we had to do the same as lisa does with her dd. we had kevin check in with us periodically during the day and it was a requirement to join us for dinner.

one of the nice things about aruba is that the water from the tap is WONDERFUL!

welcome to the forum.

I refer to the pool as the "kid magnet".
