Cool Honeymoon in October @ Divi AI

My husband & I got married on June 1 & will be traveling to Aruba on 10/4 & staying at the Divi AI for 8 nights. We were thinking about renting a car for a day or two so we can explore the island. What are some must dos in Aruba?

We have traveled to many Caribbean Islands but this will be a first to Aruba. I also have seen pictures of a beach where the flamingos are. What beach is that? I would love to see them they are absolutely beautiful!

    Getting excited!

    Fran

    Hi Fran!

Congrats on your wedding and welcome to the forum!

Get ready to fall in love with Aruba

The flamingos are on Renaissance Island - a private man-made island owned by Renaissance. Click Here for a thread about the island.

Take some time to look through this forum and the home page at aruba.com and you will find tons of must do's!

welcome to the aruba.com community forum

check out this category for activities http://www.aruba.com/forum/f10/index2.html

make sure that you do not overbook yourselves! leave plenty of beach time and honeymooning time.

i might suggest and island tour with a taxi or one of the tour companies.
that will take up 3 to 5 hours. if you want baby beach snorkeling as part of that tour, i would contact BULLY for the tour and have him include an hour at baby beach for snorkeling. he will wait for you. his email is is bullytaxi79@hotmail.com.

also............you may love a horseback tour, a snorkel trip by boat (jolly pirate, tranquilo, to name a couple, but there are plenty)
    casinos are practically everywhere.

as jacki suggested, visit the home page of aruba.com and the activities threads here

Congrats on your wedding! You will absolutely love the Divi AL, my husband and I go in November. You will also fall madly in love with Aruba and hopefully return many times. You will realize once you meet people it is hard to find first timers, except for lucky honeymooners like yourself, there is a reason for this and I cannot wait until you discover it for yourselves. Have fun planning!

Welcome to the forum. Aruba is the perfect place for a honeymoon. If you're looking for something a little more active you might want to check out the trike tours. I know DiviDiviFan and her husband went and and had a great time. Maybe she'll post back with more info. We're thinking of trying the snorkel sunset cruise on the Black Pearl based on many positive posts here. This is a more laid back trip not a party boat. If it's partying you want you can always go on the Kukoo Kunuku bus. The bus starts out at the lighthouse and goes around the island to different bars.

Thank you! Looking forward to getting on the plane & to be on our way! Pegmeister mentioned that you & your husband did the trike tour. That sounds like fun. What was that like. Sounds like something we would be interested in.

Thank you Pegmeister! I asked DiviDiviFan about the trike tour. That sounds like something we would be interested in doing. The snorkel sunset cruise on the Black Pearl sounds like another good one! Sounds like there are a lot of good ones. We will have to plan on a return trip!

you said in your last sentence "we will have to plan a return trip"..................you certainly will.
aruba has some magical or mystical power that causes you, the visitor to be swept away.
aruba has more repeat visitors than any other caribbean island.

you may be planning your return before your honeymoon ends.
