Hello everybody!! We have 8 of us comming down and can't wait!! We have a villa and are looking forward to meeting new people and having fun! We are all comming down for a satuday wedding, so it should be a fantastic time!!

Thanks!! We were told to go to Lings for food and beer......does this sound like the right place to go? Just don't want to pay $15 for eggs....LOL!!

lings is one of the major grocery stores
here is a link to a thread talking about lings 1st trip to Aruba booked! Grocery store?

lings is similar to the grocery stores one would find in the usa.

pricing is maybe 15 - 25% higher than in the usa.........all depending on where you live i guess.

other grocery stores are
Certified
Super Foods
Kong Hing
-----------------these are all located in the "eagle" section of aruba, not at all far from the DIVI golf and Divi timeshares and the Sun Plaza area.

Kung Fui--------is located in the Palm Beach area, on Palm beach rd.

my preferences are Lings and Super Food, but i spend as little time as possible in either of those stores when in aruba.

beer is costly.

the local beer is BALASHI and beer drinkers seem to LOVE IT.

BTW............prices are listed in aruba florins.
eggs are about $3.25 per dozen.

Thanks for all the advice Andrea!! I to do not want to spend time in a grocery store. There are 8 of us in a villa and figured we should stock up when we get there.

no one wants to spend time in a grocery store while in aruba.

heck, lots of folks do not want to spend time in a grocery store even at home.

i try to avoid it at all costs.

and the US dollar is welcomed at all of the aruba grocery stores.
1.77 aruba florin is equal to $1. so, do not let the florin pricing freak you out.

Are you from Philly? Will this be your first trip to ARUBA???? You will love it.
Lings is one of the bigger grocery stores. I hear ya about food shopping while on vacation. I've done it the past two years but not doing this July. We are staying in a plain old Hotel room just for the fact that I don't want to be tempted to cook and clean up. But if I were going with a group of people I would. Where are you staying if you don't mind me asking?

I was in Aruba last May (27th- June 4th) and the weather was perfect and the ocean water was warm. I have 100 days until I am on my way back there and I can't wait...

Hello Melissa....2nd time in Aruba, 1993 was 1st. Yes, Philly suburbs....we are renting a villa near Palm Beach.....can't wait!!!
