    New to the forum.

    Hi all,

I'm new to posting on a forum so I hope I'm doing this correctly. My wife and I, along with another couple are looking to plan a trip to Aruba in late Sept or early Oct. Our friends have never been but we have been a few times, about 21 yrs ago (We stayed at ABC back then, family timeshare). We are looking for options in where to stay since we are both celebrating special anniv. 20yrs and 30 yrs and know Aruba has changed a lot since then. Our Budget is flexible but not super high end.

    Hello TM923
Welcome to the aruba.com community forum

Sept/Oct are nice in Aruba...relatively quiet, but not dead

    YOu have many options

How about contacting ABC to see if they have 2 studios or 1 bedrooms for rent.

Also too, check out the timeshares on this site for rent as well as Redweek.com.

Are you looking for all inclusive or not?

    Hi Andrea J,

Thanks for responding. I think we are looking for something with more night life than ABC (from what I remember). The four of us love the beach, watersports, and some gambling. We are 45-53 age, foodies that like to have a few cocktails maybe some dancing, general good clean fun and relaxation. Not apposed to AI, but we always love trying local restaurants ( not big buffet eaters unless its all the tropical fruit)

    Dont do All Inclusive!
there are WAY to many fine restaurants there to be tied to a location... Seriously

check Hyatt, Surf Club timeshare, Renaissance suites or Marina Tower

Redweek is a good source of availability

narrow your choice and we all will chime in. Believe me we ALL have opinions

Have always had good luck with the Radisson. Check out mcm for vacation packages. http://www.aruba4u.com/top-rated-aru...ls-resorts.php Welcome to the forum and welcome back to Aruba!

Welcome to the forum. I would think most anything in the Palm Beach area would have what you are lookin for. We liked the Radison and they run some good specials. Also the Hyatt is nice

Welcome to the forum. You sound like the "Palm Beach types". By that I mean there is just more going on in that area. I also vote against the AI route. There are so many great restaurants in Aruba, when we start recommending places, you just won't have enough time to visit them all (and if you do, we'll all be extremely jealous). Ask plenty of questions, read lots, and use the search function. You guys won't recognize the place after 20 years away.

    Welcome to the Aruba.com Community

I would suggest a Palm Beach area hotel. There are many places within walking distance for night life and the water sports are pretty cool there too

Thanks everyone for the information and helpful suggestions. I have read that the Radisson is being bought, is this true? If we select Radisson, would the sale effect any reservations? Plus, I worry that the new owner ( if being sold) will be doing renovation work during our out time there.
