Hello all-I am new to forum-my husband and I stayed at Tam from March 27-April 2-I have to say-this place is beautiful and we will be back in Sept-Oct!!! We have never been to Aruba-this was a surprise trip I planned for my husband-we both work alot and have 2 boys ages 16/17 and had never been on vacation before and had no honeymoon when we got married in 1990 (deployed 2 days after we got married!) I asked alot of people where I should go b/c we love the beach and sun-but not sitting to sweat-everyone's first answer- ARUBA!! Anyway-we were very impressed w/ Tam-the food was absolutely wonderful everyday for all 3 meals and the Pizza Per Tutti was a great place to snack whenever u needed pick-me-up. Freddy at the front desk talked to us first day and remembered us every time he saw us-all the staff was soooo friendly and helpful. It was incredible the amount of people we met from Western Ma or Boston area--YES I AM I DIE HARD RED SOX FAN!! Or even New England Area-We were in 1313 and right outside our door was the beautiful beach and sunsets- i could go on and on- but anyway-just wanted to introduce myself and say we will be back andi will probably have alot of questions fpr all of you experts on Aruba-I am surely going to make the trip a bi-annual one!! We also went snorkeling and it was the most amazing experience I ever had swimming with tropical fish and next time-we are doing the snuba-no doubt!! I have pictures-but don't know how to include. Thank u all for reading my long story!! I could go on forever about Aruba!!

Great to hear you loved the Tamarijn and Aruba. We stayed in 1313 over Christmas and New Years. Excellent location.

Any photos of the beach since the waves just prior to your arrival?

When we first arrived for 2 days-the water was rough and there were waves and the water was cooler-buton the 29th-water was like bath water-i was wondering-do the hotels give any discounts for returning to the same place? I will request the same room or one of the other ones close to it. Do you stay at the same place or jump around and are there any other that comes close to the same great conviences the Tam/Divi offer? I liked being in between downtown and where the high rises are-and I don't like the idea of staying in high rise-just too crowed and large for us. I don't care how big my room is-we only sleep & shower in it and don't spend any length of time there other than in evenings to watch the sunset and email the kids every night while we were there. Thanks for any suggestions.

Christmas was our first time anywhere OTHER than Palm Beach. We have stayed at 6 of the resorts along Palm Beach, but did really really enjoy the Tamarijn.

There are really no accommodations (except for a few of the timeshare units at the Riu) which offer you the ability to walk directly out on to the beach from your patio. That was what we enjoyed the most about the Tamarijn. The food, staff, service etc. was all a big bonus.

I believe that the Divi/Tam has a return visitor program, but I do not know the details. There should others here who do or you could phone them at US/Canada: 1-800-554-2008 or 207-594-7888.

The Divi/Tam return visitor program activates after your 5th visit in consecutive years. It is called the Red Parrot Club. There are room discounts for subsequent visits along with some gift certificates.
