Hello sbinsun, yes there is a downtown, nice area for shopping. Cruise ships come in there. Nicely developed. Weather is a beautiful 80 or so degrees with a nice breeze. Read more on this site for additional info on places to stay, eat and activitites that might interest you.

First trip to Aruba
My husband and I are taking out first trip to Aruba in June. Is it necessary to rent a car, or is there a bus system? He plans to bring his golf clubs and we're not sure exactly what to do. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Who rents a car and who dosnt? Is it worth renting a car? getting around the island As to the clubs...if playing only Tierra del Sol or Divi Links, I know for a fact the Links will store the clubs for you. TDS, more than likely would. Probably be easiest to take a taxi the first time to the club to drop off the bag and clubs.
