    Newbie :-)

    Hi everyone

I'm new to the forum and to Aruba!

My fiance Daz and I have chosen Aruba as the place to get married

We've never actually been to Aruba but having done some research online we've fallen in love with it.

Our wedding is not until June 2015!! but never too early to start planning hey? and I've already been in touch with a couple of wedding planners in Aruba

Anyways.. enough waffling from me, just wanted to stop lurking and actually say Hi

    Joe xx

    newbie

Hi. I am also new to this site.
I was born in Aruba but have lived in the UK all of my life.
I came cross this site just today & thought it would be a great way to get to discover about my birthplace. I have visited Aruba twice but only on cruises, so hope to head back soon, to stay a while longer.
does anyone know anything about either the old Esso Oil refinery or a village nearby? I think it was called Rayhundo (apologies if spelt wrong).

If not, that's fine. Just wanted to say Hi anyway.

    hey steph
welcome to the aruba.com community forum

why don't you create a thread asking about the refinery and the colony?

post it in the Aruba General Category.

there are quite a few folks here that were born and raised on aruba and in particular the lago colony.
