Hi all, We are thinking of coming to Aruba some time in 2010. This will be our first trip to Aruba. I have a ton of questions, where is agood place to ask them?A few of the top of my head are can you bring food with you (we will be in a time share condo) or would we be better off going to the grochery store.(we are a family of 4 with a teenage son who seems to eat every thing in sight and eating out every meal would cost more than the entire vacaLOL) Hows the snorkeling? Best beaches or go on a tour? Should we worry about sharks? The island looks amazing! Thnks Nettii |

Worth it? Yes. The best in the Caribbean? No. Quote:
http://www.arubabound.com/dive/snorkel_photos.htm a few photos taken with a new housing, I pretty had no clue what I was doing with. I thought the Trunkfish and Pompano were pretty cool. Others prefer Baby Beach. Quote:

BUT, in 18 trips to Aruba, 25+ dives and 6+ snorkel trips, have never seen one, even down to 100+ feet.

Hi again, I just want to say Im loving the vibe of this web site everyone sounds so freindly and helpfull, and it sounds like the island is a very safe place to bring your family on vacation. Last year on Grand Bahama island I didnt always fell safe. and that can be unnerving when you are trying to share the world with your family. I look forward to reading more about the island and chatting with you floks about the island.

Arubalissa Thnks for all the info! Im going to spend some time going thru it all. Im always worried about sharks mainly because my 8 yr old love s to snorkel too and he is so small in that big water.
I will have ten million more questions where is the best place to post general questions? Thanks again Nettii |

nettii, you have just fallen into the of knowledge of Aruba with Arubalisa, she is it! Don't worry about sharks, as for your little one start off at Baby Beach, it is from ankle to above head, but very safe with break water and no waves. Again the more you ask the more you learn and Lisa has all the links you'll need!

welcome to the forum go thru the categories and you will be able to see where you can post questions, in the correct category. ex: where go i go snorkeling from shore go to activities and sports ex: what will be good for my kids to do? go to family activities ex: kid friendly restaurants go to culinary and culture or ask your question wherever you want and if it is misplaced, we will move it to where it belongs. you and your family will have a ball on aruba andrea
